Swachh Survekshan Awards,2021, Chattisgarh is ranked top in states category with more than 100 urban local bodies.

Ranking of cities in the category of more than 10 lakh population as follows -

9. Visakhapatnam

10. Ahmedabad

Greater Hyderabad is in 13th rank and Chennai is in 43th ranking. Varanasi awarded as cleanest Ganga city. States with more than 100 Urban local bodies Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh ranked in 2nd and 3rd.

In the category of states lower than 100 urban local bodies Jharkhand topped in the list and followed by Haryana and Goa states. Indore is ranking top in cleanest city category from the past 5 years, that is ranking in top consequently 5 year. Surat is occupied 2nd position in 2020 and 2021, that is consequently two years.

For Chattisgarh, it is 3rd time awarded as cleanest state.
